Visit Corfu
Corfu is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea. The island is bound up with the history of Greece from the beginnings of Greek mythology and is marked by numerous battles and conquests.
Unesco has declared Corfu’s Old Town a world heritage site, so it is a must see. You can visit the Palace of St Michael and St George, Liston Arcade, the Reading Society, the Catholic Cathedral, Maitland Rotunda, Ionian Parliament and the Kapodistrias family’s mansion.
Corfu is known for its beaches, so you should go to the Canal d'Amour, where a natural passage created by the smooth rocks forms a tunnel to swim down. The legend says that you find your soulmate at the end of the passage.
If you enjoy diving or fishing, you must go to the uninhabited Diapontia islands north of Corfu.
